About The Elkettes'

The Elkettes were formed approximately Fifty Years ago by a few determined and dedicated women. They pledged themselves, through hard work, to become the strongest, most active and supportive organizational part of the Elks, and their commitments. Through their caring and loving club work, they share in the general welfare of their community and their Elks Lodge in reaching goals not otherwise obtainable.Their success is most impressive and ever growing stronger!

Their goals are many and they assist the Elk's Lodge in many ways.
  • They give of their time and service on various projects for the Lodge.
  • With great pride, they have given thousands of dollars in various ways of support
    • The Florida State Elks Therapy Services" who's deep meaning slogan is; "No man is taller than when he stoops to help a child"!
    • Through a rigorous set of rules, they award a One Thousand Dollar ($1000) scholarship, each year, to a deserving college student.  2008 was their (3rd) year to the same student.

Their main duties as good Elkettes are symbolized by these:
  • Unity: Let us work together as one
  • Integrity: Let us stay upright and honest in our attitude toward one another
  • Humility: Let us all try to be humble in spirit with freedom from pride and arrogance
  • Dignity: Let us all work toward a degree of excellence and moral worth, a quality suited to inspire and command respect and reverence
  • Honesty: Let us be honest with ourselves as well as with one another
  • Loyalty: Let us all be faithful to the laws of our Elkettes organization
  • Cooperation: Let us all join in the act of working jointly together
  • Patriotism: Let us all have love and devotion to the welfare of our country
  • Friendship: Let us all stand united with affection and esteem with mutual attachment and good will for one another.

The Elkettes still live by their commitment in support of the Elks, and their commitments, today.
